1792: The Ancien Régime is nearing its end. In Paris, King Louis XVI (Guillaume Canet) and his wife, Marie Antoinette (Mélanie Laurent), are arrested and taken to the dungeon of the Temple Tower. Loosely inspired by the journals of Cléry, the King’s valet, who remained by his side until his death.
